Over the past month or so I've been putting Veronica through pretty intensive makeover project. (For those of you who didn't already know, Veronica's the name of my black Perodua MyVi, to honour the famous Veronica Lodge - Archie Andrew's girlfriend(?) and her dark black hair - come on, you guys have read Archie comics when you were young, right?). It was pretty intensive to say the least, as I gave her a new set of bumpers, skirt, spoiler and some pretty nice legs to go with them.
Needless to say I did spend quite a bit on them, but I guess it's all worth it as she was getting a bit old and ragged after about 3 years and now after the makeover she looks brand new, looking totally hot.
Extreme Makeover Veronica: Phase 1
- MyVi SE front and rear bumpers with fog lamp
- MyVi SE Side Skirt
- MyVi TRD Spoiler
- Paint job for the above 3 items
- Exhaust tail pipe tip
- 15" Matte Black Sport Rims (traded in my old ones)
- Crystal white Eurostile number plates
I bought the bumpers, skirt and spoiler from traders on Lowyat.net which cost relatively cheaper than buying them directly from auto accessory workshops. After which I took them an auto paint workshop in Klang (recommendation by Karheng) for it to be spray painted and installed.

Planning is already underway for phase 2 of the Extreme Makeover: Veronica project, although due to a lack of funds the project may be put on hold under further notice.
High level plan for Phase 2:
- Leather seats
- Crystal/Smoked front and rear head lamps
- Lowered springs
- Swapping rims and tyres with Alle's Honda Jazz (she's got these badass 16" ones but they feel a tad too heavy on her car, and my car's already slow anyway so what the hell!)
May not look like a lot, but Phase 2 will cost a lot more than Phase 1 of the project.
More importantly however, before I embark on Phase 2, I will need to sort out the damn rattling noise that my rear left door is making. I been pulling my hair out for weeks but I still can't figure out what the f**k is causing that noise!
Ah, the days where we only had bicycles. It was a much simpler time...
Jermain Defoe, he's a Yiddo! Welcome home.
From Soccernet.com
"Spurs agree £15m fee to buy back Defoe"
Jermain Defoe is heading back to Tottenham Hotspur after a £15m fee for the Portsmouth striker has was agreed.

Jermain Defoe: Back in the shirt he wore for four years previously.
Defoe will have a medical on Tuesday after personal terms were agreed too.
The 26-year-old striker joined Portsmouth from Spurs less than a year ago in a £7.5m fee. Portsmouth are said to still owe the bulk of that fee to the White Hart Lane club as well as some cash for Younes Kaboul, who headed to Fratton Park in the summer.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and Pompey chief executive Peter Storrie have negotiated a deal which will see Pompey receive additional cash, yielding them a significant profit on a player who has been in great form for them in his eleven months on the South Coast.
Harry Redknapp, who bought Defoe for Portsmouth before his September defection to North London, is also in for winger Stewart Downing, who has had a transfer request rejected by Middlesbrough.
He is closer to signing free agent Stephen Appiah, who is training with Spurs this week.
The 28-year-old, released by Fenerbahce in the summer, has suffered knee injuries in the past, but Redknapp is confident that will not be a problem and is hoping to arrange a deal.
After the sale of Defoe and Lassana Diarra for £20m to Real Madrid, it remains to be seen whether Tony Adams, Redknapp's successor at Portsmouth, will be given the money to spend."
Won't be a transfer without a massive dose of Spurs transfer rumours. Can't seem to recall a transfer window in recent years without us dominating much of the transfer news.
Bring on Stewart Downing!
Guess its the time of the year where we all do our resolutions, and then few weeks down the road we all forget about it. Happens to everyone, especially me. Hell, most of the time I can't even remember my resolutions at the end of the very year I made them, let alone fulfill them.
Was speaking to a client of mine before New Year's and he actually gave me a tip:- make less resolutions, and keep them within reach.
So I got to thinking during my drive home, discussed it further with Alle later and I started coming up with more and more resolutions. Definitely not keeping it simple and within reach.
Anyway, to counter the reasonably long list of resolutions for 2009, I implemented a "ranking" system for my resolutions, so I can start at the top and work my way down. Meeting the important ones in December 2009 would be ideal, and anything more would be a bonus.
Before I forget though, let me list them down. That way 2 weeks from now when I'm on my way to forgetting my resolutions I can come back and catch a refresher.
In order:-
1) Stop spending money on "large" purchases (i.e. gadget-y stuff that aren't cheap - got me a MacBook and PDA in 2008 only to sell them off at a reasonable loss after barely using them)
2) Maintain a more healthy lifestyle (sleeping habits, diet and staying fit the key)
3) Be more positive about work (which will keep the stress and blood pressure levels low)
4) Spend more time with family (got 2 little additions to the family, so I have to start gearing myself to be their favourite uncle!)
5) Start a blog (Wahey!)
6) Maintain the blog that I've started (Been occasions in the past 2 years where I actually started a simple blog but never did had the discipline to maintain a healthy flow of entries)
7) Take better care of my car (Veronica's getting older now, just recently went through a make over and I need to keep her nice and hot. Probably not the best idea to get a new car under the current economic climate anyway)
Guess 7 should do for now.
p/s: Funny how I talk about maintaining a healthy sleeping habit, but yet I'm posting this entry at 3:46AM. Not a good start, that's for sure.
I'm back.
Figured that a 2 year hiatus from blogging is just about enough, and I took advantage of the December holiday season to set up a new blog. Spent quite a few days setting it up (also taking into account I'm a lot busier now compared to a couple of years ago) and alas after going through lines and lines of XML codes I'm finally "happy enough" with the layout.
This by no means the final layout though, as I'll be continuously looking to improve it as I go along (feel free to drop me a mail/comment if you've discovered any bugs on the site, or have problems viewing it on your browser - I've tested this on Firefox, IE and iPhone though)
Anyway, for those who've been regular visitors to my blogs in previous years, the content here will be pretty much the same. Decided to retain a more personal blog as opposed to a specific topic oriented one (did cross my mind to setup a Football Manager blog, but figured as soon as my addiction to that game is over I'll disappear from the blogosphere again). Anyway IMO personal is good, as I have the flexibility of blogging about various topics that paint my days.
Just to wrap up this brief opening intro post, please do make yourselves at home, comment at will, and don't remain anonymous!
Happy New Year folks!
